If you are thinking about giving a charitable donation before the end of the year, I recommend considering the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN). This organization recently changed its name from the Lymphatic Research Foundation and expanded its mission after 15 years of providing hope, inspiration and progress to the millions of people who suffer from lymphatic disorders like me.
Simply put, LE&RN has done more to put lymphedema on the medical radar and to directly sponsor lymphatic research than any other organization of which I am aware. If a breakthrough in the treatment or – God willing – a cure of lymphatic diseases is to come, it is likely to emerge as a result of the unyielding commitment of LE&RN and the generous people who support its cause.
Giving on-line is safe and easy, and making a difference is only a click away.
If you prefer, you can also donate by phone by calling (516) 625-9675. To donate by mail, please make a check payable to the Lymphatic Education and Research Network and mail to: 261 Madison Avenue New York, NY 10016.
Have a Healthy and a Happy New Year and thank you for reading Lymphedema Diary!
